One of several locations in the area. I often find Dune’s coffees more interesting than traditional coffee shops. Not only do they offer a wide variety of packaged coffee, but they also brew many of their varieties in both espresso and non-espresso drinks. If you want to mix up your coffee game a little, and are willing to try something different this is probably a good choice. Of course, they also have your traditional dark roast espresso coffee as well; ZipZinger is a great option along those lines. As with most other coffee shops in the area, there are selection of baked items available as well as some other food options.
This was my 1st time visiting Dune, I was visiting from another state, staff was extremely friendly, nice, and very helping. I could not decide what I wanted so they recommended the Almond Croissant and a cappuccino. Both were phenomenal. The croissant was so good I had to order another. Def will be returning when I head back to Santa Barbara.
Why do coffee shops need to play loud music? It's not a rhetorical question. My take is that they want to move customers in, through, and on. This is the reason for the 2 stars on the atmosphere. The drink was good, the staff was very engaging. Then why push us on? Why not let us have a conversation with friends? Go there and see for yourself. Maybe that was a one-off, and they usually play their music at a low level. On the other hand, I encourage them to go to Europe and discover how music is nearly non-existent in restaurants and coffee shops. They understand the purpose of gathering. Once again, Santa Barbara fails.
Great location! And good coffee and an even better service.
Such a lovely shop. Great latte and toast. And super warm staff.
Like most coffee places, unskilled with tea drinks. Heavy hand with milk and sugar, light on tea and, therefore, flavor. A good drink is balanced.
A great coffee shop to grab a quick drink and pastry before starting your day. The outdoor seating has a great view of downtown
The food is really nice I had a croissant and a coffee, espresso. Very nice coffee. Bitter but with flavor. Great staff and very nice vibe in general.
